What size is the Super Star?
The Specs:
6'4" long
26.5" wide
13.5" tall
Weight 33 pounds (actual weight, not deceptive advertisers
weight)
Fits a 37" inseam, size 14 foot
Ultimate Weight? This is a question that requires explanation.
1. Minimum weight that you can "lean
clean" it in flatwater?- 175, with 200 being ideal.
2. Minimum weight that it is worth considering to buy 170
pounds (Dan Gavere and Clay Wright used it on the Gauley at
a lesser weight but it was a little big for them at 165-170
and they wanted to be in the All-Star instead.)
3. Maximum weight- I have only seen up to 235 pounds in the
boat and it was a rodeo machine. Colin Kemp weighs in at 225
and finds it to be perfect for him.
4. I would probably buy a Super Star instead of an All-Star
if I was 185 or higher, if I want really big loops instead
of all around, maybe 175.
Just FYI
Here are some photos of Andrew Dunning paddling the Super
Star at 6'3" and 180 pounds. He has long legs and BIG
feet.
