Some friends just sent me photos of the 1-day kayaking course that their grandkids took with me at Wet Planet Whitewater.
Kalyana and Joseph (the grandparents) learned how to paddle a few years back in the Columbia River Gorge and I see them at least 3 times a week paddling our local river, the White Salmon. They are truly passionate about the sport and love everything about it. They are just as excited to get their grandkids into the sport as well. The last couple of summers, when their grandkids come to the area to visit, they have provided them with kayak instruction. I was lucky enough to be their instructor this year :)
The Jackson Fun 1 and Fun 1.5 were the perfect boats for these kids. As an instructor and having to adjust boats for people on a daily basis, I really appreciate the super simple
way the Jackson boats adjust. The kids pulled on three strings and they were set - no bolts to unscrew, no foam to cut to fill the boat in . . . simple as can be :) Thanks!
It was a great day . . . it is unbelieveable how quickly kids catch on :)
