The Super Hero goes BIG IN BRAZIL

March 27, 2008

By Jesse Coombs

While filming our latest production in Brazil, Hotel Charley 3: The Lost World, we had the opportunity to get the Super Hero on some big falls. The results were spectacular. The Super Hero is nimble, stable and predictable. This means it excels at doing the most important part of running big falls: nailing your entry. And the performance does not stop there. I was amazed at how well it surfaces. Ben ran this falls first and plugged it with a great line. I thought he might get held a bit or come up on edge, but that wasn't the case at all. Ben and the Super Hero surfaced upright and stable and away from the falls. It looked so good I wasn't sure I saw it correctly. It was like seeing somebody do a new trick for the first time. Mentally you are not sure what you just saw, and you want to see it again. Ben styled the falls and paddled away with a big smile. When he got back to the side of the falls, I asked him what he did to surface so well. He looked at me and said the Super Hero did that. He said he tried to get a boof at the lip, but the falls just wasn't set up for the boof. He said he knew he was plugging it and was amazed at how well he surfaced upright and away from the falls. All the lines were great and the SUPER HERO just STOMPS THE BIG FALLS.

We also were working on some cool camera angles and had Ben take several runs with an on board camera. We are looking forward to doing many more of these shots in the future. On board shots present a whole new set of challenges, and we are having fun figuring these out and getting a cool new angle in high definition.

I have included some sweet photos of Ben and I running the falls in the kick ass Super Hero! If you look closely you can see the on board camera in a couple shots.

The Super Hero STOMPS everything we get into with it!

Too Fun!

Jesse
