This year I decided that I was going to try a different anchor trolley system than I used last year. I was visiting my friends at Western Canoeing & Kayaking in Abbotsford and came across the Sealect Designs kit. The kit was reasonably priced and had quality parts included. The fact that it looked easy to install was a bonus too. When stillwater fishing for trout I often run dual anchors, so I picked up one additional ring for a couple bucks to make this system work for me. (There is one included in the kit already – See photo)
Below is a detailed video on how to install the kit on any kayak, as well as my simple modification to allow me to use my dual anchors. I really like the fact that I am able to clip the entire trolley off my kayak when I don’t need it. This week I installed a couple pad eyes and a zigzag cleat on my Big Tuna so that I can now use the trolley on both yaks.
I hope you find this useful.
