SW Florida HOW’s Fleet of Jacksons

Things continue to go well for the Southwest Florida Heroes on the Water Chapter. On a previous post I bragged about the support given by the community, local kayak shops, and guides in making sure the chapter had enough kayaks for each event.
While we still count on the unconditional support of the community, we have grown enough to launch some pretty cool initiatives in order to raise money and awareness about this wonderful program. We have also encountered infinite support from Jackson Kayaks whom has helped put many veterans on the water and away from stress.

Today, the chapter has its own small fleet of Jackson Cruise 12 Kayaks. These five kayaks have provided over 200 hours of relaxation, rehabilitation, and fun to the heroes in our community. We are very proud of the work from all our volunteers and also feel lucky to count with the support of Jackson Kayaks in building our fleet.

In 2016 we will be expanding from only five kayaks to 15 kayaks. Our chapter continues to grow as more and more veterans and volunteers join us on amazing fishing trips.
Stay tuned for continuous updates on the growth of this chapter and more importantly, on the many stories we learn about from our nation’s heroes. There’s nothing better than to be able to bring joy and relief to those who have given so much for our country.
