I just back from a great trip to Belize River Lodge. Conditions were tough with high winds and rain which kept us off the flats for the target species of bonefish and permit, lucky we could get some shelter behind some islands for a little tarpon by catch.
Three Tarpon in Three minutes.
Was pretty cool after the fact when the guides told us in general we were landing these fish from our kayaks much faster than their normal boat clients, by a large margin. I hooked six fish and landed four, GP died on one of them. Fish were from 60-80 pounds and landed on average of 15 minutes while he said it would have taken the boat anglers closer to an hour. I was fishing in the Kraken 15.5 on this trip.
