This past Saturday was a special weekend for Clay Landrum and myself! We both got our kid paddling pals out on the Pigeon River Gorge as part of their upcoming birthday celebrations.
My 10 year old nephew, Ryan Jay Weatherford, and I joined the APE’s Babes on the Waves river trip down the Dirty Bird and we had a blast together as always in the JK Dynamic Duo! There were lots of boofing and surfing all the way down the run together. Ryan decided that Uncle Wesley needed a challenge at the end of the run, so he requested that we run Accelerator Rapid backwards. We did it with style, but I have to admit it was a bit spooky trying that for the first time.
Then Ryan got him a temporary job at the NOC Outpost – Pigeon River in the gift shop while I ran shuttle. He works for food!
Clay got his son, Will, out for the first time this season too in his JK Sidekick. They had all kinds of fun on the run as you can see from their video:
Good times, good times! 🙂
