This past February I packed up my truck and camper with the wife and dog, and drove all the way across the country to Olympia, WA to pursue a travel nurse contract! We have been here almost 3 months now, and have absolutely loved it! This has been our first time to truly live and boat anywhere outside the southeast so having Volcanoes, and huge towering mountains almost everywhere you turn has been a nice interesting change:)
Since I have been up here, I have put almost 15000 vertical feet on my Nirvana, and I have gotten 10 PFD’s! I have learned more about big water creeking and big water runs, and I have learned to appreciate all of the hard work that was put into the design of the Nirvana. It has been a game changer for me, and it has allowed me to paddle in new and hard whitewater with way more confidence. All in all, I have loved my time up here, and I have made so many new friends!
I decided to throw together a quick little video of one the days that I spent out on the Little White Salmon for your viewing pleasure. Hope you guys enjoy!!
As Always SYOTR,
