Since 1993 I have had the pleasure of knowing a genius. His name is David Knight. He has applied his creative energies into not only designing boats, but in designing incredible computer programs, so he can design better boats. A paddler himself, living in the heart of mid-atlantic USA paddling in Washington, DC, David has designed slalom boats, creekers, river runners, playboats, touring boats, recreational boats, hybrids, river running playboats, and has done it like no other. I have had the pleasure of working with him on these boats since 1993, starting with the slalom boats and then our first playboat the Wavesport X. David has designed 32 boats, most of them with me as his design partner, and the rec/touring boats with input from many key sources. Our latest creation in the Recreational Lineup, a sit-on-top for rental programs and people wanting a fun, easy to paddle low cost boat, was designed by none other than Tony Lee, who has 15 years of R+D/design experience, formerly with Dagger.
