Michael Harris

I grew up wade fishing the surf along the Texas coast.  As I got older I started wade fishing the Galveston Bay complex, which led me to try kayak fishing.  It was in a kayak that I truly discovered how beautiful the Texas coast could be.  You know it’s going to be a good day when you’re quietly paddling through the marsh watching the sunrise and bait is popping all around you.  On most weekends you’ll find me chasing redfish in the marsh or grinding it out on a flat for that trophy trout.  I’ve made a lot of great friends in the kayak fishing community and I’m looking forward to meeting many more with my Jackson kayaks.

Hey Michael I read Nate Mattews article in field and stream on fishing for redfish out of kayaks in Matagorda, Texas. It really interested me and am trying to do some research on the area. The reason I am contacting you is because you are know to be part of the ‘pack’. I am trying to figure out about fly fishing opportunities and guides in the area. If you could email me that would be very much appreciated.
