I was born and raised in the hills and hollers of East Kentucky. Fishing has been a huge part of my life as long as I can remember. As a child, I would ply the local creeks for hours on end, catching chubs, suckers and bluegills. As I grew older, my love for fishing only grew with me. My target fish became those big ole’ fat bellied green fish that prowl the cool, clear waters of the highland reservoirs of my mountain home. I had feel in love with bass fishing. I fished from a bass boat for years, not realizing the benefits of kayak fishing. I bought a used yak, caught some quality bass and the rest is history. In no time the bass boat was gone and kayak fishing took over. I am a tattooer by trade, and also write as an outdoors columnist for the Appalachian News Express. I am married to the woman of my dreams and have 5 awesome boys. I give credit to God for all of my blessings.
