I grew up in a small town on the Sacramento delta. My house was on the water with a dock that I pulled many striper in from. When I was 12 I became SCUBA certified while on vacation in Hawaii, and my father bought me my first speargun. At 17 I enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman and did a tour of duty in Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division. After I got out and went back home and fell in love with free dive spearfishing. Now I only put on tanks for work or when I’m doing something for the county dive rescue team.

I spent a little bit of time kayak fishing for sturgeon before moving up to Mendocino County. I now live 45 minutes from the Pacific Ocean and spend as much time as possible in it diving and looking for fish. When the water is too rough to dive I enjoy skydiving, BASE jumping, and land hunting. When the funds allow I love to travel to spearfish new areas. So far I’ve spent a few months in Mexico, made a couple trips to New Zealand, speared in Costa Rica, and various states around the US.
