Josh Dolin

My family exposed me to fishing at a very young age. One of my first memories is walking into the local tackle shop with my father and playing with all the big soft plastics used for Striper fishing. Twenty years later the store is since long gone, but the distinctive smell of new plastics immediately takes me back to that moment in time. I think those were seeds that were planted deep in my soul when I was young that have grown with me and molded me into such a passionate, driven fisherman today.

When it comes to kayak fishing, my adventures started five years ago as a fast and easy way to get on the water in my river-city home of Richmond. It quickly manifested itself into a burning passion that goes hand and hand with my current trophy fishing endeavors. With the help of my kayak I have climbed to Master Angler and Expert Angler status in the state of Virginia by participating in the Virginia Angler Recognition Program. I find immense joy in targeting and capturing a variety of species, both common and obscure, with notable trophy catches of Largemouth Bass, Blue Catfish, Muskellunge, Longnose Gar, and Bowfin just to name a few. I see myself as a seasoned multispecies freshwater angler with an undying thirst for knowledge about the species I chase. I love sharing my knowledge and adventures with other anglers by posting to my website www.fishhardorstayhome.com. I am a very friendly and outgoing guy and I don’t hesitate to spark up a conversation about fishing no matter where I am! If you have any questions about me, my fishing, or maybe you need a little advice for a trophy species you’re trying to hunt down yourself, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email via my website. I’d love to talk fishing with ya!
