Favorite fishing: Small ponds to Large lakes
I’m a husband and father of one beautiful little girl who is 2 years old in February of 2018. (Hopefully my next fishing buddy)
I’ve always fished and will continue to fish until I just possibly cannot anymore. I’ve fished across Canada from British Columbia all the way to little creeks on the east coast of Newfoundland.
Being that the Edmonton Alberta area is my home, I frequently target pike and have recently fell in love with catching these large slew sharks.
My favorite fish to chase after is any species of trout, Rainbow, tiger, Brook, Brown, Sea trout, and the occasional Golden trout.
I discovered Kayak fishing 5 years ago while looking through Instagram & Youtube, I was trying to find a better way to get out in to our large lakes for pike and smaller ponds for trout. I bought my first kayak a few weeks later and I haven’t looked back since. I love to get out on the lakes for a full day and sometimes even a couple of hours.
If its fishing related, I’m there!
I have entered a local Kayak tournament for the last 3 years and In 2017 I placed 4th overall, out of 48 kayak anglers.
I want to teach my daughter how to fish and to show her how to help preserve our waterways from land and by kayak. Here’s to hoping she has as much love for the water as I do.
I have a Instagram page that I use to help document my fishing and adventures OpenloopKayakFishing. Feel free to follow me so I can share my adventures with you.
