I am very excited to have him as a member of Team JK in California and Oregon, and wherever he may roam. Born on 12/23/81 in Ashland, Oregon, I grew up in the beautiful and remote Scott Valley. I love kayaking because of the unique places I get to see and experience. I’ve always loved canyons, rivers and creeks, and getting to enjoy and share these places is a major part of my love for kayaking.

Specifically I love expedition kayaking because it makes me face more challenges than anything else I have done. It constantly pushes me mentally, physically, emotionally, and often humbles me in the process.

I also love whitewater photography, and photography in general. Just trying to capture the slightest feeling of the joy of paddling or a special moment in life is a gigantic challenge.

Why Jackson? Jackson Kayak is a company run by hardcore kayakers, and this is reflected by the functional outfitting, cutting edge design and durable boats. Choices at Jackson aren’t made for the dollar, but for kayak performance, and I love it.
