Glenwood Springs big wave Action!

Well, it happened again: Glenwood has been the best playspot in Colorado.  Many of us descended on it during the past few days, following the CKS Paddlefest event in Buena Vista, and the Steamboat competition.  Levels ranged from 19,000 to 17,000, which made for a GREAT wave!  With record snowpack and hot weather predicted over the next few weeks, flows will probably get to be STOMPING high soon!  Enjoy the photos, shot by Clay Wright and me.

Now we’re all in Vail, waiting for the start of the Teva Mountain Games!!!  Then I drive across the country to the Ottawa, and fly to Germany for the ICF World Championships!  Hope the Blue Beast makes it–currently dealing with some sort of fun ECM/transmission adventures when I hit bumps in the highway 🙂

Live from Vail,

Stephen Wright

It was great seeing you guys paddling here again this year. I made the better decision to watch(and not wait in line to paddle) and film and got some great footage this year of you Clay and EJ. Keep on showing us locals how its done!!!

Fantastic meeting all of you at the G-Wave … kids are starstruck and Dally is wracking his brain trying to recall a wave Emily told him about .. “Western Colorado something that starts with a w and is about w hours from our house. I think it’s in this country,” says Dally. ha ha ha — if you have a second — maybe you could ask her?? Thanks! =0 Oh, PS – We are selling our house and buying an RV!!
