    Good afternoon,

Does the Riviera come in the bright neon green shown in the gallery? That’s really the only useful color for our organization, HarborLAB (www.harborlab.org).

Also, what is your volunteer group/outfitter/quantity price? Do you charge a program fee like Johnson Outdoors does? As you can imagine, we have to watch every penny of donated funds.

    Thanks!

Can I special order the Riviera in the “earth” color you used to offer several years ago? Would I purchase directly from you or can I special orders from local dealers? Does it still cost $200 extra?

    Thank you!!

Check with Cust Service on that one – usually 200$ special color charge and always through a dealer but I’m not sure we have the ”earth” colors in house anymore. Or if we have any that old in stock. Write info@jacksonkayak.com about those colors… Clay

Do these come with thigh straps? If not, can they be attached to it if bought from third party?

How can I buy one of these. Can I ordered it directly from this site?

    1. September 24, 2018 at 11:16 am

Sorry Shane, you’ll have to go through a dealer as we don’t sell direct. I know there are many who sell online but not sure who to suggest… CKS is a favorite store in CO.. Appomatox is in VA, ACE is in WV, NOC is in NC, Outdoor Play is based in Oregon, California Canoe and Kayak in California… or check the dealer locator on our website – you just type in your zip / town and the local dealers will be shown. Love my Riviera on the lake – enjoy! Clay

Hello, I’m David From Alabama. We have two Jackson Riviera’s and we love them!!!! My wife has a new 2019 Model and I have a 15 yr old model. Same except the day hatch. I’ve done a little repair on mine. (nothing major). I was wanting to know what the inside looks like? where are the braces and supports located? That would help greatly for any future repairs.

    Thanks,
    DH

Pretty sure the structure comes from the shape and there are no supports on the inside. Just plastic and often a little condensation or water. Clay

I want to paint my kayak, what kind of paint can I use and does it need a clear coat of some kind over the paint?

    1. July 6, 2019 at 7:33 am

I don’t know, I’ve seen plastic paint at Walmart but most paint chips off in time. Vinyl wrapping is a better idea with smaller strips to fit to the curvy parts. Maybe check Google or as on a kayak chatroom? Good luck! C

Has method changed for making the kayaks? For years I saw specs in the high 40s; this one says 58 pounds. Comfortable, stable, fun, but wouldn’t have purchased it if I had known it was 10 pounds over my lifting weight limit.

      Hey John –
I had an old one that was lighter but had thin spots in the seat and ended up getting flimsy there. I hear we had a lot of liveries complain about the long-term integrity and we added a few lbs for better long term durability. Sorry .. no one wants to add plastic here either – we pick them up all day too. Clay

I’ve purchased kayaks from four different manufacturers and my Jackson Riviera is the only kayak I will ever use .
I sold the others and they will be replaced by Jacksons. Thank You for great kayaks.
