The Bees Knees give Jackson Kayak whitewater boats a more secure knee fit for a better feel. This addresses the #1 request for improvement from our customers, and follows the JK way of valuing innovation and simplicity. They require no tools to adjust and are comfortable and lightweight. These should work with every whitewater boat we've ever made (with the exception of kids' boats).

These are helpful, but keep in mind that the thinner piece with the side bumps is velcroed on. If it detaches, Jackson Kayak does not carry replacements. You will need to buy the entire kit in order to replace the one piece, which is quite pricey.

The Bees Knees are great, but one minor issue is that the thigh hooks are losable (or prone to theft) because they're easily removable. I just wish Jackson would sell just the thigh hooks/pads individually in case you lose one.

Huge improvement to older JK boats - it's a very subtle 'thigh hook' that accentuates our molded in braces. The outer pad keeps your kee from falling to the outside of the boat on impacts. for best results, but the pad just behind your knee cap - and angle by personal preference. I've even cut the rectangle in half to use each pad at a different angle. Use a heat cut to ''peel'' off the older pad and don't worry if there's some stuck foamy spots, this will stick on over them.

I installed these in a LiquidLogic Alpha 75 with no problem. Really helps you feel locked in and ready to roll. As a relatively new WW paddler, the stock thigh braces on my LL kayak weren't as secure as I would like in learning to roll, brace and edge. I would slip out of them sometimes when rolling, which doesn't help your confidence. I wasn't certain they would fit properly with the existing braces, but it was super easy, 15 min, after removing the existing neoprene. The pad hooks will need positioning to feel just right and you may have to make minor adjustments to your seat position or footrest.
