JK Leadership

Jackson Kayak Ownership Group

I am so passionate about kayaking that I started my own company with EJ and David in 2004. I am a full time rancher living in Arizona, but I travel every year to run multiday river trips. I run the Grand Canyon every other year with a gang of family and friends, and paddle in Idaho in between. River runners and cow folk are my type of people. They are enthusiasts and exciting. They live their lives to the fullest and are always smiling. Get on a river. See ya there!

My roots are embedded into paddlesports. Growing up (literally) in a van down by the river immersed me into a unique tribe that I am blessed to call friends and family; the community created around Paddlesports. Kayaking introduced me to my husband, brought forth our children, created our lifestyle and taught me how much I love travel and competition. I am proud to say, that while finding balance between family, travel and being successful in competition is close to impossible, I have found my center and nothing but pure passion for what I do: Paddling, producing kayaks, and raising my kids… down by the river.

I was THAT 10 year old, so excited that there was a boat designed to fit me. That kayak allowed me to learn and progress so much faster than I would have dreamed. I grew up with all different shapes and sizes of Jackson Kayaks; a multitude of different progressive designs that have allowed me to get to where I am today. Now, as a professional athlete and a part of the design team at Jackson Kayak, my goal is to do my part to create those next progressive designs. The designs that will help the next generation have the best tools possible, so they can reach levels they hadn’t dreamed of.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to help many companies reach their full potential. I have to say that Jackson Kayak has not only shown that it has no limit to its potential but it stands as one of the most exciting companies I have had the pleasure of working for. I am extremely proud of the past few years of work and the leadership that has always been present at JK. We will continue to develop exciting new products and create value for our customers.

donna1.pngI love growing companies and being part of a family business. My personal experiences of being raised in a 3 generation family business, where we celebrated business accomplishments and family milestones as one, enhances my ability to understand how a family business operates and how the relationships between the employees build the culture.

martin1.pngI have worked for Jackson Kayak since 2009, initially part time, becoming full time in 2019. The main attraction to me is the passion and energy that all Jackson employees devote to producing and supporting a premium product that will satisfy paddlers of all ages for years to come. We enjoy a relaxed work atmosphere that belies the serious commitment the Jackson Kayak staff has for ‘doing it right’.

braad1.pngMy role at Jackson Kayak is to bridge the gap between the creative conceptual work and the finished product. Each day I work with an awesome team who takes the visions and turns them into incredible products. I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished and what we have in the pipeline for the future in kayak design.

I have been with Jackson Kayak since the beginning as a team paddler and worn many hats along the way. I started running all the educational programing at JK and worked as the program manager at World Kayak as well. My role continues to evolve and I do my best to adapt to what JK is asking of me. I look forward to continuing to work with our family of dealers and our great staff to build the best kayaks in the industry.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles within the company, in each one, always learning something new. A few years ago, I was given the opportunity to step into the role of Human Resources Manager and be a part of a team where everyone is ultimately “paddling together” for the same goal: to make Jackson Kayak a better place to work.
