Great kayak with solid construction. Very comfortable and smooth as silk in the water. Kudos to the design engineers.

In 2017 My wife and I purchased two Tupelos, 12 and 12.5. After over 5 years of heavy use, which includes primitive camping in the Adirondacks ( yes include long portages) the Tupelos just continue to impress us. The quality of workmanship is exceptional. Never had a problem with the Tupelos, none...Zero.
This is a quality kayak that is above all (all) the rest in comfort and Straight line paddling with out the need for a Skeg (rudder) is great. I own a sit on top (fishing) kayak, canoe and pack canoe and hands down the tupelo is my favorite.
I am surprised that the 12 and colors like my Mystery machine color are not available.

Great in appearance but very poor quality in construction. I have used it 3 times on flat lakes and so far the rear hatch lid hinge broke ( poor design and cheap material) the rivets on the cockpit padding pulled out again ( poor design and cheap material ) I have been kayaking and canoeing for over 40 years and had experience with entry level and expensive craft the Jackson Tupelo is over rated over priced and just cheaply made.

I've had mine for three years and it didn't take long to realize what a versetale boat it is! It's a great river runner and lake taker! It's got enough storage in it's hatch to do an overnight float especially when you make use of the behind the seat area. It tracks and handles better than any other boat I've had or used so I highly recommend it for just about any floating application!

Went to buy a Tupelo solar eclipse at Outdoor Experience in Cookeville, so excited for the color. The salesperson said I had to see the seat before he would sell it to me. As soon as a saw the molded seat, they lost the sale. Been waiting for an orange colored Tupelo for a few years, loved the seat it was better than the molded plastic I have in another brand kayak. I am so disappointed, love the color, why change the seat?
